Dryburgh Athletic Women are delighted to announce the signings of Dryburgh girls graduates, Rebecca Lonie and Hadyn Coutts.
The talented youngsters have committed themselves to the club and will join our SWF Championship squad for the remainder of 2023/24, following the conclusion of the 2023 youth season.
‘Bex’ has been at the club since 2016, progressing from the U9’s to U16’s. The gifted midfielder has great composure, poise and trickery on the ball, as well as an eye for goal, proving that over the years with some excellent strikes. Rebecca made her Championship debut in September and has been a regular in the matchday squad so far this season.
Rebecca commented "I've been at Dryburgh since 2016 and I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity to be part of the Championship team and develop further".
Haydn joined our youth pathway earlier this year from Forfar Farmington, and along with Bex, played a key role for the U16s this year. The talented midfield player made her first team debut back in November against Rossvale and has really impressed in training with her attitude, technique, passing ability and work rate.
Hadyn had this to say "Signing for Dryburgh's championship team will help challenge me and progress within football".
We are delighted that Bex and Hadyn have committed their futures to Dryburgh and we look forward to seeing them both continue their development at the club.
Rebecca will be sponsored by Stop Go Driving School and Hadyn by Glenrothes FC U17s for the remainder of this season. Thanks to Chris and Gavin for these deals.
