This Sunday we welcome our visitors from the Highlands, with the better weather hopefully meaning that Dryburgh will at last get a game played after the weather related postponements of the last 2 Sundays.

Dryburgh’s last game was in early January, which was an outstanding performance in their Scottish Cup 4th Round against SWPL2 side St Johnstone at Station Park. After near misses from both sides and a spectacular penalty save by the Saints keeper, the visitors got the break very late in the game with only 10 minutes to go, scoring 2 late goals, but as with such tight games it was really only a big slice of luck that put them through, and ‘Burgh can be pleased that they managed to compete very well with a team at that higher level.

Meanwhile our visitors come into the game after a run of narrow league defeats, the most recent of which was 2 weeks ago - their game last weekend was also victim to the weather - when a ding dong exciting tie away to Renfrew ended up with a 4-3 win for the home side.

With a good strong squad, recently complemented by the recent loan signing of Klara Brady from Montrose, ‘Burgh are keen to get back into the swing of the second half of the season and get points on the board. With two 3-2 defeats in the league to Inverness earlier in the season, our girls will also be looking to reverse these results and be rewarded for their efforts.

So it’s sure to be an exciting match on Sunday, and we are hoping to have lots of spectators come along.

Kick off is at 1.30pm. As usual, admission is £3 for adults, £1 concessions and u18s/ Dryburgh members free.
