Our Women’s first team aren’t the only side back in competitive action this Sunday, with our SWFL development side also returning to the rigours of league duty. They welcome Forfar Farmington to Lochee Park for a noon kick off.
The youthful side currently sit a very respectable fifth in the SWFL North/East ahead of their return from the summer break.
It has been somewhat of a transitional season for Reece Watt’s side, with injuries and personnel changes to contend with over the course of the season. There have been a number of positives however, particularly the way in which several players from the clubs youth set-up have made the step up and performed well.
Two players that look set to make their debuts soon are summer signings, Bronwen Terroni and Eilidh Angus. Both have impressed in training over the summer and will come into contention for a place in the team on Sunday if available for selection.
Head Coach, Reece Watt, is ready to get the campaign back underway again and has spoke of his ambitions not only for this season, but also in the longer term for his exciting young squad:
“We’re looking forward to the season restarting. We have added to the squad and we will look to push on and continue our good start to the season.
“Our main goal is to get the team settled in preparation for next season and just to finish as high as we can, taking it game by game.”
