We are thrilled to announce the signing of forward Clara Laing.
Clara joins our SWF Championship squad for the 2022/23 on a season long loan from Dundee United WTC.
Former Dundee East and Dundee UTD youth player Laing was part of Dundee UTD WFC’s SWPL2 league winning squad last year. She also spent a few months on loan at Montrose WFC as they too picked up the Championship North trophy.
A unique experience for this talented young player, being involved in two League winning campaigns in the same year.
Laing will wear the number 23 maroon and blue jersey for the SWF championship season ahead.
Clara had this to say on joining Dryburgh “I’m delighted to sign for Dryburgh for the new Championship season ahead. l believe this is the best place for my development and it will be great to get some experience and game time in women’s football.
The coaches and the girls have been really welcoming, which has been great.
I can’t wait to get the season started.”
Head Coach Owen MacKenzie commented “We’re delighted to bring Clara in. She’s an energetic, aggressive attacker who has pace to burn, and also an eye for goal.
We’ve got a track record of working with younger players, giving them a chance and trying our very best to improve them, so we are excited to work with her.
