Dundee City West v Dryburgh Athletic
Our opponents on Thursday evening are local rivals Dundee City West, with an evening kick off at Baldragon Academy.
As the season comes to an end, Dryburgh have much to be positive about going into the last few matches. Their last game was last Tuesday evening when they faced league leaders Montrose at Caird Park, with the visitors winning but only after ‘Burgh pushed them all the way including twice hitting the woodwork. With no game last Sunday due to Westdyke being unable to field a team, ‘Burgh have had a few extra days to recover and no doubt they will give it their all tomorrow evening.
Our opponents have also been busy as the season comes to a close. Recent losses to Buchan and East Fife came either side of their midweek game against Dryburgh 2 weeks ago at Glebe Park in Brechin. On a cold Angus evening, City West pushed ‘Burgh hard in the first half and defended really well, however it was a very different second half with ‘Burgh giving a very strong performance to win well.
So all roads lead to Baldragon Academy tomorrow (the school is on Harestane Road in Kirkton), with a 7.15pm kick off.
