SWF Championship Match preview
Westdyke Ladies v Dryburgh Athletic
Sunday 30th January
This Sunday sees Dryburgh on the road again, this time to Westhill on the outskirts of Aberdeen to play Westdyke. This is 'Burgh's second road trip in a row and their 3rd away trip out of 4 games in January - lots of miles being clocked up by the squad over the month. Last weekend's trip to Inverness was a successful one, with a hard fought 3-1 win against Inverness CT, with goals from Stacey McFadyen and a double from Tiegan Clark, both from penalties.
Our opponents this weekend are Westdyke, who have had mixed fortunes in recent weeks. In their league form, a 5-0 loss to East Fife last weekend was preceded in December by an 8-0 win against Stonehaven. As a big, strong community club covering Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, they always have a large number of teams, and no doubt they will put up a strong performance against our girls.
The match takes place at Lawsondale Park, and the kick off is at 2.45pm.
Why not go along and cheer on the teams!
