Dryburgh Athletic Women are delighted to reveal the signing of Johan Fraser for the 2025/26 Barclays SWF Championship season.
Having come through the youth set up at Aberdeen, Jo progressed to the Dons first team spending 6 seasons with Aberdeen in the top flight.
Jo then made the move south to Dundee United and spent 2 years with UTD’s first team up until the end of the 23/24 season. Last year Jo returned to Aberdeen for a 6 month spell before finishing the season at Montrose WFC.
Having played as a trialist at the weekend for Dryburgh Jo has already shown what she’ll bring to New Beechwod Park with an assist and a goal in a terrific debut performance.
Fraser is real attack minded player who will add experience, real quality, strength and a calming influence to the current Dryburgh squad.
Commenting on her move to Dryburgh, Jo said “I’m really excited about the season ahead and delighted to have signed for Dryburgh.
I’ve been really impressed with the set-up here and how welcoming everyone has been, both on and off the pitch. It already feels like the right place for me to enjoy my football which is the main goal for me this year. I want to contribute as much as I can to the team’s success and I’m looking forward to the season ahead”.
Dryburgh’s John Beatt shared his thoughts “We are really pleased to sign Jo. When we heard she was available, we acted quickly to add her to the squad knowing she’d bring great experience with track record of performing consistently at SWPL 1 level with an impressive CV. Right through our first conversation, her training session and first game Jo has shown she’s exactly the right type of player and person we want at the Club”.
