Over the last couple of years the Community Club board have gone through a series of consultation meetings and visionary workshops with the help and support of SFA East.
Huge thanks to Sam Milne and Kevin Lee for their assistance.
We are now delighted to announce a new board and set up to the Community Club structure. The new structure sees two new board members join and the creation of two working football groups who will work in tandem to essentially run the “teams” side.
These changes were ratified at our recent AGM at the Change Centre.
Craig Fyall steps into the Community Club Chair role after being involved with the Club in a consultancy basis for around a year.
Craig has worked tirelessly in this time to help with the restructure and has also played an instrumental role in helping secure long term facility and sponsorship deals for the club.
Craig had this to say on taking on the Dryburgh Chairperson role “I am delighted and privileged to be leading the club during this exciting period of development and opportunities that will significantly benefit the club and wider community. The core values of the club remain at the heart of everything the club provides, underpinned by the volunteers at all levels who give up their time to support this fantastic club which I am delighted to be part of”.
Another new addition to the board is Scott Hill. Scott takes on the newly created Head of Boys & Men’s football role. Part of Scott’s role will be to oversee our newly created Boys football group who will solely concentrate on the on field activity in our Boys section.
Scott commented “I have really enjoyed being part of the Dryburgh family over the last few years. The club is full of good people pulling in the same direction and I can't wait to see what the next few years has in store for us all."
Becky Davis has accepted the role of Community Club Secretary and will double up this role with the Head of Media duties.
Previous Chair John Beatt stepped down at the AGM and now takes on the role of Head of Girls and Women’s football. John commented “it’s been an honour and a privilege to serve as Dryburgh Athletic Community Club Chair over the last few years. Helping the club through the pandemic whilst also securing a self funded post for our full time Club Development Officer role was undoubtedly the most challenging and toughest period. Since then the focus has been on restructuring the set up to help the Community Club grow in a positive way. The club is in great hands with Craig coming on board, he brings a wealth of knowledge and business acumen to the board. I’m delighted also to see Scott Hill join the Community Club board as Head of Boys. Scott’s drive, enthusiasm and organisational skills are second to none and he will be a huge asset moving forward.
I’d like to thank all club board members, club coaches, volunteers, players and families for their support and commitment during my time at the Club.”
Further board roles see Ross James continue in the Vice Chair role with Club Treasurer Ian Kettles also remaining in this important position.
Also continuing to serve the Community Club on the board are Iain Leith - Facilities role and Dorothy Watt - Senior Child Wellbeing & Protection Officer.

Our new football sub groups will consist of Boys football sub group - Stuart Cochrane, Stewart Campbell, Nicky Fletcher, Cameron McCombie, Cheryl Robertson, Mike Fletcher, Iain Leith and Becky Davis.
Nicky Fletcher will now also take on the role of Boys Secretary within this group, feeding directly into the Community Club board.
Similarly on the Girls side, the football sub group sees Scott Barclay, Alex Mannion, Jodie King, Kerry Coull, Ashley Barclay, Mark Thomson and Ross Penman join. With Ashley Robertson continuing to fill the role of Girls Secretary.
