We are back at home this weekend as we host Renfrew Ladies, and hoping for some nice weather now that spring has arrived.
We head into Sunday’s game after 2 recent 4-0 wins in a row, the latest being last Sunday’s excellent result against Greenock Morton Women at the Parklea Stadium in Port Glasgow. We put in an excellent display, with Becca Scobie (2), Kiah Irvine and Olivia Moffat our scorers.
Meanwhile our visitors Renfrew are also on a run of good form, with 3 wins in a row in the last few weeks - 8-0 v Hutchy Vale, 3-0 v Stirling University and 3-0 v Inverurie (in the league cup) - so they will no doubt be looking to keep that good form going. Their last defeat was mid February, when they lost 3-2 away to Stenhousemuir.
Nevertheless, overall their good form since the new year has helped edge them up the table to second place with 35 points, although incredibly there are only 4 points separating 7 teams, with Dryburgh in 8th place on 31 points.
It was certainly a close game the last time we played each other back in October through at Renfrew. The match could have gone either way but it ended 4-4, and no doubt this Sunday’s game will be equally action packed and exciting.
