2012 P Gibson League Winners
Our 2012s won 8-0 today vs Forfar earning them the league title.
2012s Head Coach Brian Wallace said "Absolutely delighted for our team to win the P Gibson league title in their first season at 11 a-side. To win 17 games in a row is a remarkable achievement for everyone involved. It's no less than the lads deserve and is a result of their hard work and positive attitudes every week in training as well as the fantastic team spirit they have built over the last year. Very proud of every one of the players, and it's a privilege to coach this group of talented and hard working lads. I would like to thank all the players, parents and everyone at Dryburgh Athletic CC for their continued support for the team."
Club Chairperson John Beatt commented “what a journey this has been for this young team, a real rags to riches story.
Brian approached the Club just over a year ago looking to create a new 2012s team as there was a need in the area for a 2012s boys side. The hard work started there and huge credit goes to Brian for his drive, dedication and determination to build this team from scratch.
The Club are just delighted for the boys, their families and the coaches. To see this group have the year they have had is just incredible, especially given some of these young lads didn’t even have a team 12 months ago.”
