CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS, PARENTS/SUPPORTERS & COACHES/VOLUNTEERS
Dryburgh Athletic Community Club fully support the codes of conduct endorsed by the Scottish Football Association, Scottish Youth Football Assosiation and Scottish Women's Football.
Player Code of Conduct
When I am playing football for Dryburgh, I will:
• Always play my best for the benefit of the team
• Have a good attitude at training and on game day
• Play fairly and be friendly
• Play by the rules and respect the referee
• Show good sportsmanship on game days: shake hands etc.
• Listen to my coach at training and on match days
• Encourage my teammates both at training and on game days
• Respect the facilities and equipment
• Treat all players as you want to be treated
• Play for your enjoyment and to improve your skills
I understand that if do not follow the Code, I may:
• Be asked to apologise to whoever I have upset
• Receive a formal warning
• Be suspended from training, substituted or dropped
• Have membership withdrawn and asked to leave the club

Spectators and Parent / Guardian Code of Conduct
Play your part and support Dryburgh’s Code of Conduct:
• Have fun; it is what we are all here for
• Celebrate effort and good play from both sides
• Always respect the referee and coaches and encourage players to do the same - Never critisise - remember they are volunteers
• Stay behind the touchline and within the designated spectator’s area - Let the coaches coach - Do not instruct the players
• When players make mistakes, offer them encouragement
• Never engage in or tolerate offensive, insulting, or abusive language or derogatory behaviour
Do not use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability, this type of behavior will not be tolerated and may result in your child’s membership being withdrawn.
I understand that if I do not follow the Code of Conduct, I may be:
• Issued with a verbal warning and asked to leave
• Required to meet with the club committee to explain my actions
• Requested not to attend future games
• Required to have membership withdrawn and asked to leave the club along with any dependants

Coaches and Club Officials Code of Conduct
On and off the field, I will:
• Always show respect to everyone involved in the game
• Stick to the rules and celebrate the spirit of the game
• Encourage fair play and high standards of behaviour
• Always respect the referee and encourage players to do the same
• Never engage in, or tolerate offensive, insulting, or abusive behaviour
• Be aware of the potential impact of bad language on others
• Be gracious in victory and defeat
• Respect the facilities home and away
• Ensure PVG is completed with two references sent to the club and attend any necessary courses (SFA coaching badges)
When working with players, I will:
• Place the well-being, safety, and enjoyment of each player above everything
• Never tolerate any form of bullying
• Will not smoke or vape
• Ensure all activities are suited for the players ability and age
I understand that if I do not follow the code, I may be:
• Suspended by the club from attending matches and training
• Suspended or fined by local and national authorities
• Be removed from post and membership terminated

By registering our/my child with Dryburgh Athletic Community Club we agree to abide by these principles. I/we support the Club in its undertakings and encourage the Club to take any necessary disciplinary actions where warranted of any players, parents and or spectators for repeated or serious breaches of these Codes of Conduct.
