Dryburgh Athletic Community Club and Lochee United Junior Football Club create strategic partnership
30/05/2021Dryburgh Athletic Community Club and Lochee United JFC are excited to announce the clubs have ratified with their members a new strategic partnership, which will begin immediately.
The clubs have enjoyed a good working relationship over recent years and through this it has become apparent the clubs share the same visions and values for both its members and the local community of the Lochee ward.
The initial goal is to develop the required infrastructure and facilities to provide a training and playing base which matches the size and ambitions of both clubs.
We hope to make a quick progression with this project, as work has already been undertaken to allow the project to be fast tracked.
Iain Leith of Dryburgh Athletic Community Club stated “Firstly I would like to thank those at both clubs who have developed the partnership to this point. Dryburgh Athletic CC are a club with a diverse membership of over 300, ranging from preschool boys and girls, through to adult women’s and men’s teams, and are delighted to be able to announce this partnership with Lochee United JFC. Whilst the development of football facilities is at the core of our shared vision, both clubs are keen to grow our partnership in the future and work with the local community for the betterment of the Lochee ward. We are excited to begin the hard work ahead and deliver the ambitious plans that our members deserve.”
Graeme Carling, President of Lochee United JFC added, “This is a fantastic development in the history of both Lochee United and Dryburgh Athletic and will drive the long-term future of both teams. I am proud of what has already been achieved and I am excited for what the future holds. Having already committed the support of McGill and my other businesses to helping the clubs realise their ambitions, I now encourage other companies to join me in helping these great community clubs where they can.”
